Merging and Splitting Delivery Dockets

Background

The system automatically merges delivery dockets for multiple job schedules which are delivered on a single delivery. This only applies to job schedules with the same job number, destination address, purchase order number, and truck type.

Steps to follow

Adding Additional Items to a Delivery Docket

You can add a schedule to a manifest that has an existing delivery docket ID assigned, thereby merging additional items to a Delivery Docket. Ensure the schedule added has the same corresponding job number and delivery address as the existing schedules on the manifest.

  1. Select the Manifest which you’d like to merge the delivery dockets for by clicking the grey box next to the manifest.

  2. In the Print Delivery Dockets window, delete the delivery ID of the job you wish to have a new job schedule merged into by following our article on Deleting a Delivery ID from a Delivery Docket.

  3. Press the Close button to close the Print Delivery Window. image144
  4. Proceed to the Manifest Items tab. Filter and add the selected schedule. Follow our articles Adding Schedules to a Manifest AND/OR Adding Credits, Purchase Order Collections or Transfers to Manifests for instruction on how to add items to a manifest.

  5. Press the Save Changes button to save the manifest. image055
  6. Press the Delivery Dockets button to open the Print Delivery Dockets window.image109
  7. Press the Previewbutton to preview the new delivery docket. The newly added job schedule is now included in the same delivery docket. (A new delivery ID is assigned.)image113image146


Splitting Delivery Dockets

You can split a delivery docket on multiple schedules into several different deliveries. This only applies to schedules with the same job number, destination address and truck type.

Splitting the job schedules’ from a single delivery ID into two deliveries.

  1. In the Print Delivery Dockets window, delete the delivery ID of the job you wish to have their job schedules’ delivery split by following our article on Deleting a Delivery ID from a Delivery Docket.

  2. Press the Close button to close the Print Delivery Window. image144
  3. Remove the job schedules that you wish to be placed into a separate delivery by selecting the job schedules and removing them from the manifest.

  4. Press the Save Changes button.

  5. Click the Delivery Dockets button to open the Print Delivery Dockets window.

  6. Click the Preview button to create a delivery ID for the remaining job schedules and press the Close button. image113

  7. Move back the job schedules that were removed back into the manifest. image149


  8. Save the changes again.

  9. Open Print Delivery Dockets window and you will see a new delivery docket with the same job number but without a delivery ID. (This is for the job schedules that were previously removed and re-added into the manifest.) image150
  10. Press the Preview button to generate the delivery ID for the new delivery docket containing job schedules that previously were removed and re-added. (Press OK on all the popup boxes.) image113
