Background
The Wi-Fi calling feature on your mobile device allows you to make and receive phone calls on your Apple mobile device over the Wi-Fi when you find yourself in an area with little cellular coverage.
Before You Begin
Ensure you are logged into the Wi-Fi network. See our article on How to Connect to The Wi-Fi on your Apple Device for more.
Enabling Wi-Fi Calling on your Apple device
- Locate the Settings application on your Apple Device. This is the gear-shaped icon on your mobile device. You can swipe down and type Settings in the search bar.
- Select the Mobile option from the settings list. Alternatively, you can search Mobile on the search bar inside the Settings app.
- Next, select Wi-Fi Calling
- Then slide the toggle button to the right. You will know it is enabled if it is green.
- The Settings app will then prompt you to confirm the enabling the Wi-Fi Calling. Please click the Enable button and your Apple mobile device will be enabled for Wi-Fi calling.
- You have successfully enabled Wi-Fi calling.
