Background
If you need to find a contact, Unified Contacts is your go-to tool. With this app, you can search both your company's corporate contact list and your client outlook contacts list in one place. To learn how to use Unified Contacts to conduct a search, follow the steps outlined in this knowledge base article.
Before you Begin
- Ensure you have a working internet connection.
- Ensure you have opened up Microsoft Teams.
One-time warning messages
These warning messages may only appear once and they occur when Microsoft Teams tries to update the various contact lists that are available for you.

Steps to Follow
- Click on the Unified Contacts button on the left-hand panel.
- Type in a contact name from the Search Box and click on the Search button.
The Unified Contacts button will look into all the contacts from the Company Directory and your Outlook personal contact list.

To contact the recipient you searched for, simply utilize the communication buttons located underneath the Unified Contacts Results.

Teams Video Call Button Click on this button to initiate a video call with the intended recipient. Teams Call Button Click on this button to initiate a call with the intended recipient.
